The World of messiah1...
In my life...

Hello Community!  It's been awhile since my last post.  Been very busy and a long, long way from home.  Does anyone out there remember my son Ethan? (  He's now 8 years old, healthy and strong. While I've been away he has been very active in Cub Scouts.  They are starting a new year and with that comes their annual popcorn sales program.  Not being there with him, I wanted to try to help out anyway I can so I set up an account online where people can go and order popcorn and have it shipped right to their homes.  Any orders online go towards his Scout Rewards and I was hoping to have him be the top seller for his pack this year.  That would make him smile I'm sure.  I'm told he worked very hard last year walking the neighborhood trying to get as many sales as he could but it didn't turn out too great.

If you feel like supporting Cub Scouts, and maybe helping Ethan become the top seller this year, please take a moment to visit this link and order yourself or your friends/family a tasty treat.  And if not, that's okay too.  Thanks for your consideration and/or support.

If you can't click on the external link up top, copy and paste this into your browser.  On the site, at the right, it should say "Supporting Scout Ethan E."

I read the WinCustomize TOS very carefully and didn't see anything that made me believe this was in violation.  If a moderator or member believes it is, please let me know as that is not what I'm trying to do.  I'm just trying to do something nice for my son that is within my power.

Lately I've been getting alot of BSODs.  I've been getting 0x24, which is a NTFS failure and I've gotten 0x1 which is an APC Index Mismatch.  I thought that maybe the NTFS was a hd failure about to become fatal so I put in a different hd that had Win7 on it before I got a new hd.  Win7 went out and updated and within about 30 minutes, BSOD.  My drivers are up to date as far as I can tell.

I even re-installed Win7 on the newer hd and after getting updates, BSOD.  I'm at a loss.  Anyone know of some tool that can help figure out the problem and help fix it as well?  I thought maybe it was hardware failure but why would 2 hds have the same issues?  Any help is much appreciated.  If you need to see any dumps or whatever, let me know.

Working on this in the bits of free time I have.  Thank goodness for laptops!  The sidebar is functional, although not completed yet.  The bottom half has a transparent dock over it so it looks like it's holding the icons.  I like the way it turned out.  The gadget is an LCARS gadget I found online, although I've heavily modified it.  The original just didn't do it for me.  So far, there's the sidebar, gadget, icons, docks, rightclick and the taskbar of a win7 wb, all WIPs.  Skinning is fun.  [e digicons];P[/e]

I know someone else is working on some LCARS stuff, feel free to post any of your LCARS related projects on this thread as I'd like to see them.  I'll post more here as time progresses.

Freedom isn't free, you have to want it badly.

I do not choose to be a common person. It is my right to be uncommon. If I can seek opportunity, not security, I want to take the calculated risk to dream and build, to fail and to succeed. I refuse to barter incentive for dole. I prefer the challenges of life to guaranteed security, the thrill of fulfillment to the state of calm utopia. I will not trade freedom for beneficence, or my dignity for a handout. I will never cower before any master. It is my heritage to stand erect, proud and unafraid. To think and act for myself, enjoy the benefit of my creations; to face the whole world boldly and say, "I am a free American."

Freedom requires a moral society.  We've lost them somewhere.

Freedom requires our leadership and representatives to be dedicated to preserving our Freedom and to serve the people with honor. - Not happening at all.

Freedom requires an informed society – people must have information to elect and manage their citizen representatives. - Would be interesting to see what percentage of the fiddy2ers voted for der Fuhrer based on the sole fact that he is black.  That's not a racist question.  It's a question meant to find out how many people actually voted, possibly for the first time ever, just to get a black president in office.

Freedom requires a Free Press to sound the alarm when our Freedom is threatened. - The press is the mouth of is not free.

Wake up people.  Take action.  Take back this country of ours.  How many of you can honestly say you've read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution?  If you haven't, you are ignorant.  Plain and simple.  Get a free copy today.  It's free.  No reason you shoulnd't get one.  It's FREE.  This should be required reading in all high schools.  But it's not.  Why is that?

Well, after 7 years of floundering around in a life that was not for me, I'm going back to what I know and do best.  I've been given an opportunity that will not come around again and I'm taking it.  I'm USMC to the bone and finally, after all this time, I'm getting back to my roots.  I've been working at trimming down to fighting weight, literally, and I'm continuing to get into shape for active duty which is taking up my free time.

When I broached the subject with my wonderful wife a few weeks ago during a much needed vacation, she was very supportive of it.  Of course, she's a Marine wife.  Those who know, know. [e digicons];)[/e]    She's the best and I don't deserve her.  (I scored way out of my league with her.)

All of this however causes a conflict for the other thing that I love doing, which is skinning.  So skinning takes a backseat.  Maybe one day I'll have time, but not now.  You understand.  This community has been great and I'm thankful for all the support over the years.  I'll lurk around a bit before leaving but that's about it.

Thank you and take care.

Jun 25, 2009 1:01 PM by Discussion: ObjectDock

As a faithful follower of Brother Jeff's Baby, ObjectDock is my mostest favorite SD program that sits on my PC.  I've noticed a few bugs along the way but at 1.9, how I use it, I've not had any real problems other than when I switch a WindowBlind I notice sometimes (not all the time) that the icons disappear or appear behind the dock.  A simple mouseover brings them back to the front.

However, I troll the ObjectDock forums quite a bit and two of the posts I keep tabs on have a bunch of people saying that it's buggy as hell and that they can't understand why SD hasn't fixed it yet.  Now I understand that OD doesn't work right in Vista 64 bit and that's been acknowledged by SD.  My question here is, what else have users experienced that they consider a bug.

I don't want to see something that you wish OD could do as in a feature request, if that's what you have, read through this post and if it isn't already there, post it.  I'm only looking for things that you consider a bug.  If you can, post a screenshot of the issue here with your bug.

My motivation for this is purely selfish, I'm a selfish guy.  I want to see what people are experiencing, and who knows, maybe this post will get the attention that my other post (link above) has.  I know Brother Jeff checks that one as well as a striped quad legged animal who happens to work at SD (lucky bastard) and can move things along to the Annointed One if he doesn't happen to stop in. me your bugs.

*EDIT- If you could, post what OS you are using.  ex. Vista Ultimate 64 bit
